TX JUSTICE LEAGUE

TX Justice League is a PSP D-2 X-Ball and NPPL Semi-Pro team formed in early 2005 originally as a 5-Man team, primarily from players who played previously on Texas Fire. They will be the main referee squad for the tournament events.   In 2004 most of them refereed the EPL, in 2005-2007 the NTPS and all of them either do or have worked/refereed at local fields.

2005 – XTPL Series Chanpions – 5 Man Regional

2006 – PSP 5-Man X-Ball Div 3 National Champions

2005 Play by Play

On Saturday, Feb. 26 they took first place at the Madd Dogz Tournament in Waxahachie (link to pics below). The next day they took 10th in the first event of the EPL. Two tournaments in one weekend was pretty exhausting but everyone had a good time.   The next event was the 5-Man Regional XTPL on April 3. There was some good competition out there with Bad Kitty, Notorious, PBD All Stars, PBD Factory, Darkside, and others (15 total teams). After a slow start losing their first two games they won all their rest finishing in first place!.  The next weekend, April 10 they competed in the 5-Man EPL at Fort Paintball. The boyz placed 4th of 12 teams behind the two Smart Parts teams and PBD All Stars. 4th was IPOD shuffles and I think everyone was glad to get them.  Xdrenaline Zone was the site for the next XTPL. The weather was hot but they played their hearts out taking second to PBD All Stars.

They next tried their hand at a national event traveling to Chicago for the PSP – with 90 teams for competition in Division III.  After the prelims they were 7-1 and in 3rd place but they dropped two in the semis ending up 13th overall.  Deciding to try their hand at 7-Man they brought on Zach Schonn, Sam Taylor and Terry Watrous and traveled to Denver for the NPPL Super 7.  A good start the first day left them at 3-1 but the next day went the opposite and they did not make the cut but were 22nd out of the 62 teams participating.

On July 31 they tried their hand at X-Ball Lite in the Tex-Ball event at Official.  They placed first in this event but had stiff competition from AK Factory  who suffered a costly penalty in the finals.

In September they returned to an XTPL event placing fifth but maintaining their lead in the series.  This was the final event leaving them the series champion in this local 5-Man DFW series.

2006 Play by Play

In 2006 the teams decided to try their hand at the PSP series in the new 5-Man X-Ball competition in Division 3 (the highest division for this style).  In February the first event of the season was played in Round Rock, TX and they finished in 2nd Place despite the brutally cold weather.  In April they went to Las Vegas and placed 11th.  In June they played in Chicago to a 4th place finish.  Then they went on a crazy winning streak with victories in the Southern California Open, Mid Atlantic Open and then at World Cup which made them the series champions.  In the later part of the year they decided to become an EVIL Team and are head to toe Evil while shooting the EVIL minions.

2006 team members included Derek Knight (18) a senior at Celina High School, Alex Knight (16) a junior at Celina High School, Vance Wampler (15) a sophomore at Weatherford High School, Keith Cooper (16) a junior at Sanger High School, Justin Waide (16) also a junior at Sanger High School , Alex Su (16) a sophomore, Sam Taylor (18) a senior, Matt Campbell (18) a senior and Casey Greggs (16) junior at Springtown High School  Team Manager is Wesley Wampler.

In 2007 we have added Cole Edwards, Blake Brister, Keith Tinney and Ryan Hicks to the squad.

At the first 2007 PSP event in LA they had a strong start going 4-0 in the prelims but a lost match on Sunday morning relegated them to 9th place.  They will soon be at Huntington Beach for the NPPL.

TX Justice League would like to thank all their sponsors: KEE Action Sports, Over The Edge Paintball,  Paintball Dynamics, Xdrenalin Zone, Collin County Paintball Park, and Rock Star Energy Drink.
